Bayliss Library Announces May Events Bayliss Public Library in Sault Ste. Marie has announced several free events in May, including a program by Dr. Eric Gadzinski, who will speak about his book, "Soldiers Home: The War Aesthetic in the Story Indian Camp," Thursday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m. Pangea Day, Saturday, May 10, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., will consist of films, speakers, and music viewed live through the Internet. The film "Noise" is set for Tuesday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. This is part of the Film Movement subscription series for adults. The movie, "To Have and Have Not," will be shown Thursday, May 15, at 6 p.m. The family movie "Fantasia" will be shown Saturday, May 17, at 1:30 p.m. in the Children's Room. The Open House for the "Up North" Challenge Quilt Show is Saturday, May 17, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The quilt show is co-sponsored by Keeping the Piece Quilt Guild, Chippewa County Historical Society, Friends of Bayliss Library, and Bayliss Public Library. Chef Eric Villegas, Michigan Notable Book author of "Fork in the Road," will speak Tuesday, May 20, at 6 p.m. |
