Bridge Traffic Down 2.5% for March

Traffic crossing the Mackinac Bridge decreased 2.5% for the month of March, compared to March 2007, according to the Mackinac Bridge Authority. This March, 217,800 vehicles crossed the bridge, while 223,317 crossed during March 2007.

Fare revenue for March was up 15.8%, and 2.6% for the year, compared to 2007, owing to the toll restructuring that was implemented March 1, 2008.
