Members of the Herman Campbell family are the seventh generation of the family operating the Burnt Land Farm, and they have been active in the 4-H Program for several generations.

The farm is on Pennington Road in Pickford, where the youngsters are active in raising sheep and pigs.

Raeann Reinhardt called the family members together for this photograph in the barn. She is the owner of Raeann Boutique in Pickford.

Pickford will celebrate Pickford Hay Days from July 30 to August 3, with a theme of "Flower Power."

This theme was chosen to encourage everyone to take a look around and think about planting flowers, to beautify our little corner of the world.

Hay Days events will be much the same as those of previous years. The Pickin' and Grinnin' sessions were very popular last year, and are scheduled again. There will be plenty of opportunities to play.

Everyone is invited to attend a Hay Days planning meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at Mama Maloza's coffee shop. Please come with ideas.
