Kim Parish

Kim Aletha Parish, 46, of Brimley, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008, at her home.

She was born October 29, 1961, in Sault Ste. Marie to John and Lorraine (nee Keelean) Mills.

Mrs. Parish enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, and camping. She was always helping someone, friends said, and she especially enjoyed spending time with and caring for the elderly.

She was a wonderful hostess, family members said, and her famous fish fry will be missed.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Parish; three children, Shawn Shuman, John Shuman, and Stephanie Shuman; Julie Timmer; Jenifer Parish; her parents; seven siblings and their families, Cynthia and Hugh Clarke, Karen and Justin Carrick, Lucy and Dan Pavlat, Melanie and Jack Hambidge, Greg and Stacey Mills, Brian and Sherry Mills, Kevin and Becky Mills; three sisters-in-law and their families, Louella and Gene Raymond, Shirley and Don Kincheloe, and Dawn Parish; four brothers-in-law, L. John Lufkins, Philip Parish, Clinton Parish, Gordon Parish; grandchildren, Logan and Audra; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Lola Keelean, John, Mamie, and Leona Mills; niece Monica Clarke; fatherin law Clayton "Bud" Parish; mother-in-law Leila Parish; and brother-in-law Alan Parish.

Visitation was held Monday, May 5, at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Brimley.

The funeral was Tuesday, May 6, at 11 a.m., at the church with Father Ted Brodeur as celebrant.
