Ann Romig

Ann Mary Hecox Romig, 85, of San Luis Obispo, California, passed away Friday, March 7, 2008, in Missouri.

She was born July 27, 1922, to Paul and Kathleen (nee Murray) Hecox of St. Ignace. They were former owners of The St. Ignace News.

She was graduated from LaSalle High School, the University of Michigan, and the University of Michigan School of Nursing. She was a sergeant in the Army Nursing Corps, serving in World War II.

Mrs. Romig is survived by her husband, Robert; three children and their families, Paul and Elaine, Steven and Ruth, and Kathleen Sale and Bob Foote, and by three cousins, Margaret LeCount, Mary Jane St. Louis, and Josephine Lennon.

Mrs. Romig was preceded in death by three sons, Jimmy, Michael, and David.

A memorial service was held in California.
