      Chelsea Marie Davenport and Justin Dee McLean, both of St. Ignace, were united in marriage Saturday, June 28, 2008, at the Cedarville Community Center. Pastor Dan Williams of the Assembly of God Church officiated. The community center was decorated in blue and white streamers.

      Jason and Amy (nee O'Brien) Smith of Hessel announce the birth of their daughter, Payton Joan Smith, born Monday, July 7, 2008, at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie. She weighed 7 pounds, 11.8 ounces at birth and measured 19.5 inches in length.
