Pickford, Rudyard Presbyterian Church Hosts Evening of Music

The Pickford and Rudyard Presbyterian churches are presenting an evening of music Wednesday, July 23, at 7 p.m. at the Pickford Presbyterian Church. A free-will offering will be taken to help the Presbyterian church in Gambell, Alaska, replace its building.

The Presbyteries of the Yukon and Mackinac have been "sister presbyteries" for a number of years. The Alaskan church is badly weather-damaged and is located 35 miles east of Russian Siberia.

Local musicians volunteering their talents in the fundraising effort include the Northmen Gospel Singers, Dan Leach, Ben Gulder, Ashley Trainer, Kari Ortez, Raina Vert, and Joe Leach. Refreshments will follow the performance.
