She moved to Pickford in 1991 and was employed in Hessel by The St. Ignace News and Les Cheneaux Islands Weekly Wave. While there, she also helped at the Hessel Grocery. She later enjoyed working with the Huntington Bank team in Pickford.

She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Gerry's Beauty Shop Team in the St. Ignace Women's Bowling Association.

Most of all, friends said, Mrs. Meyers enjoyed a closeness with family and her many friends, always providing a joyful atmosphere at gatherings.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Goodman; three sons and their families, Kenneth and Michalle Meyers of Pinckney, Kevin Meyers of South Lyon, and Kristopher and Allison Meyers of Plymouth; three stepchildren and their families, James and Darya Goodman of Mackinac Island, Tilitha and Brody Waybrant of Pickford, and Jessie Goodman of Sault Ste. Marie, and 10 grandchildren, Lauren, Emily, Niklas, Alexandra, and Noah Meyers, Cassidy, Jillian, Allison, and Rachel Waybrant, and Viktor Goodman. Mrs. Meyers is also survived by her mother, Vera Tucker of Livonia; a sister and her family, Vera Jean and Ronald Dagg of Montana, and a niece and nephew, Heather Dagg of South Carolina and Michael Dagg of Flint.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Tucker.
