Chicago Yachts Finish at Mackinac Island

Spectators at Windermere Point on Mackinac Island, the finish line headquarters for this year's 100th running of the Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac, watch the Turbo Class Vincitore cross the finish line, passing Round Island Lighthouse Monday morning, July 21. A record 439 boats participated in the race that had very little wind and sporadic rain. Genuine Risk was first to finish in 35 hours, 8 minutes, 42 seconds, coming in at 1:18 a.m. Monday. The boat's owner is Randall Pittman of Ann Arbor.
