3 Seek Hudson Twp. Trustee Seat

Jeanne Donovan
Three candidates are seeking two open positions on the Hudson Township Board of Trustees. Voters will cast ballots for their preferred candidates at the Tuesday, August 5, primary election. Democrat Jeanne (nee Paquin) Donovan, incumbent Democrat David Livermore, and incumbent Democrat Gary Derusha seek trustee seats.

Incumbent Democrat Al Garavaglia is running unopposed to retain the township supervisor position. Incumbent Democrat Barbara Kerridge is running unopposed to retain the clerk position, and Incumbent Democrat Jacqueline Prout is running unopposed to retain her seat as treasurer.

All terms are four years. The following candidate responded to a questionnaire sent by The St. Ignace News.

Jeanne M. Donovan

Ms. Donovan, 54, is a Democrat and is owner and operator of Rexton General Store. She has a bachelor's degree in business with a minor in sociology. Her family, she said, includes a chocolate lab named Zeus and two cats, Patches and Maddie.

Ms. Donovan is running, in part, because the community needs more services, she said. Major issues she sees facing Hudson Township include road improvements, improving community health services, and garbage disposal.
