A local artist and staff member at Mackinac Straits Hospital, Suzie Benko offers her paintings for sale Wednesday, December 17, at the St. Ignace hospital. Mrs. Benko said she is donating a portion of the proceeds to the hospital auxiliary to assist in purchasing needed items for the hospital and "to help out as best I can." She uses acrylic paint and adds glitter to holiday artwork. After the hospital sale, her work will be available for purchase at Freshwater Foods Bakery on State Street.
