University Financial Aid Nights Planned
High school seniors and parents interested in learning more about financial aid will get the opportunity this month through Lake Superior State University's financial aid seminars.
Staff from the university's Financial Aid office will be visiting high schools around the Eastern Upper Peninsula and northern Lower Peninsula to talk to families about the availability of financial aid for college on the following schedule:
Tuesday, January 20, 7 p.m., LaSalle High School, St. Ignace
Wednesday, January 21, 7 p.m., Rudyard High School
Wednesday, January 21, 6:30 p.m., Pickford High School
Thursday, January 22, 6:30 p.m., Engadine High School
Thursday, January 8, 7 p.m., Cheboygan Area High School
Staff will discuss scholarships, grants, loans, and employment programs and will advise students how to apply for student aid. Emphasis will be placed on eligibility requirements, how to evaluate an aid offer, and how to complete the financial aid application, all of which should be considered by students and parents, no matter which college the student will be attending. Participants will get an opportunity to ask questions.
