The Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District is offering free screening for all preschool children who may be attending or interested in attending preschool or Head Start next fall. The screening will be Monday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Kinross Recreation Center in Kinross. Children ages two and a half to five years of age residing in Brimley, DeTour, Pickford, Rudyard, St. Ignace, and Sault Ste. Marie are encouraged to participate.

The event will offer vision, hearing, development, speech, and language screening. A child development specialist will be on hand to answer questions. Applications for enrollment in Head Start and the Great Start Readiness Program will be available.
