Volunteers Needed for Les Cheneuax Shore Clean-up

Organizers are calling for volunteers to help with a clean-up effort to remove debris along public shores in the Les Cheneaux area Friday, June 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clean-up effort is sponsored by the Watershed Council, Chippewa/East Mackinac Conservation District, and Green Choice Refuse and Recycling Service of Cedarville.

Boats to transport volunteers to offshore locations, as well as a dumpster for debris collection will be provided by Green Choice. The dumpster will be located at the Cedarville boat launch parking lot.

Those interested in volunteering are asked to meet at the Cedarville boat launch at 9 a.m. with work gloves.
