Rexton-Garnet

By Linda Livermore 595-7283

There were lots of visitors in the area, some this past week, and others making their way home for the holiday. Hello to the Miller group, Jan Miller Bontrager and her husband, Ken, and Gwen Miller Black and her husband, Bill, of Goshen, Indiana. They were joined by their brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Marti Miller, of Kokomo, Indiana. While here, the group enjoyed fourwheeling in back roads that were familiar when they all lived with their folks, Thruman and Dorothy of Rexton.

Another couple of Millers, not related, are JoAnn and Paul of Lake Odessa, who have a little getaway tucked off of Hiawatha Trail.

My sisters, Lana Beaudoin Thompson and Diana Beaudoin Davis, passed each other as Lana was returning to Georgia, and Diana was arriving here from Connecticut, each to spend time with our mother, Nona Fraleigh, and Sam.

The Jackson compound on Borgstrom Road continues to be busy as friends and relatives come and go. Looking forward to their holiday guests are Junior and Darlene Shoemaker, who will welcome their son, Mike, and his family, Jamie and Alex from Nashville, Tennessee.

Wayne and Barb Riley and their son are here at their home on the hill in Rexton. The Rileys spend most of their time in Wisconsin.

Summer visitors at the home of John and Louella Snow are Clint and Cindy Bowman Comstock of Punta Gorda, Florida.

Looking forward to spending time with their son and family, Lester and Kathy Livermore welcomed Greg, Mary, Heyden, and Anna of Blythewood, South Carolina. The kids are looking forward to popcorn and lemonade on the lawn, while watching the fireworks with their grandparents.

Family and friends of Miss Addison Livermore, who celebrated her first birthday, gathered Saturday, June 27, at the town hall. Addison must have thought it was just like Christmas, and at the end of the day, her mother, Amanda, said she was just as tired.

The Engadine High School Class of 1999 will gather at the Mill Pond pavilion for a portion of their 10-year reunion and for a nostalgic trip through the school Saturday, July 4.

A few unwanted guests have shown up in full force in the area: the mosquitoes.

Birthday wishes, a few belated, to Jack Tippett and Barb Kerridge June 22, Bob Aldrich June 23, Danny Spencer June 24, Robyn Albrecht, Ron Beaudoin, and Mike Livermore June 26, Amy Kerridge, Chad Hood, and Lester Livermore Sr. June 29, Kyle Franklin June 30, family favorite, Louella Snow, and Dwight Hart July 3, and Penny Browning and Mike Shoemaker July 4.

Anniversary wishes to Buster and Pauline Peters June 25, Dave and Robyn Albrecht June 27, Bob and Shirley Konle July 1, Greg and Mary Livermore July 2, and Nathan and Jaci Livermore July 4.

This Independence Day, pause a moment to thank all the members, past and present, of our armed forces who continue to protect our freedom.
