St. Ignace Man Dies of Heart Failure

Michael Belonga, 58, of St. Ignace died of a heart attack early Saturday morning, June 27, at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey.

Paramedics responded to a call for help in the Little Bear East Arena parking lot Friday, June 26, about 7:30 p.m., during the Down Memory Lane car show parade, and Mr. Belonga was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

The St. Ignace Police Department reported an autopsy has confirmed that his death was from a heart attack.
