Wedding

Laurel and Joseph Petro Laurel Christian and Joseph Petro were united in marriage Sunday, June 21, 2009, in an outdoor ceremony on the waterfront in Spring Lake with Pastor Dave Cheadle, brother of the bride, officiating. Providing vocal music were the groom's daughter, Melissa, and the bride's daughterin law, Amber.

The bride was escorted by her son, Marcus, and was preceded down the aisle by her two grandsons, Cooper and Noah, who blew bubbles in her path.

The reception followed with tables decorated in pink roses and star gazer lilies. Mistress and master of ceremonies were Cheryl and Marty Metiva, sister and brotherin law of the bride.

Guests and family attended from Alaska, Colorado, California, and the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan.

The bride has been a longtime resident and businesswoman in Mackinaw City.

The couple will make their home in Spring Lake.
