Open House Is Thursday

Les Cheneaux residents will have the opportunity to get to know local businesses and their owners as well as the organizations in the area Thursday, July 23, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Clark Township Community Center in Cedarville. "Get to Know Les Cheneaux!" is sponsored by the Les Cheneaux Community Forum, Les Cheneaux Islands Chamber of Commerce, and Clark Township.

The goal of the "Get to Know Les Cheneaux!" open house is to provide information about what's happening in the Les Cheneaux community. Local businesses will display new products and services, and area organizations and resource agencies will provide information about their respective causes and upcoming events.

Organizer Marti Harness said 31 exhibitors will display at the open house including Cedar Cove, Clark Township, Chip - pewa-Luce-Mackinac Com - munity Action, Eagle Law Office, Eastern U. P. Regional Planning and De velopment Commission, First National Bank of St. Ignace, Great Lakes Boat Building School, Green Choice Refuse & Recycling, Green Energy So - lutions, Juice Plus, Land & Sea Marine Sales, Les Cheneaux Advisory Committee, Les Chen - eaux Area Artisan Co operative, Les Cheneaux Com munity Forum, Les Cheneaux Islands Chamber of Commerce, Les Cheneaux Islands Asso ciation, Les Cheneaux Lions Club, Les Cheneaux Snowmobile Club, Les Cheneaux Watershed Council, McMaken Carpentry, Mackinac County Sheriffs Office, Mackinac Straits Health System Foundation, Reichlin Painting, Soo Co-op Credit Union, Sunrise Cable Network, Sunrise Com - munications, U.P. in Smoke Catering/Wilcox Construction, U.P. State Credit Union, and The St. Ignace News.

Entry to the open house is free of charge and it will also feature refreshments, give-a-ways, and free samples.
