Three business seminars will be offered at Michigan Works! offices throughout the Upper Peninsula in August and September.

The first seminar, Buy Michigan First, is Wednesday, August 26, at the Michigan Works! Service Center in Marquette.

A third seminar, "Aligning Our Communities for Regional Economic Success," will take place Wednesday, September 16, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Great Lakes Rooms at Northern Michigan University. This is the topic for the 2009 Upper Great Lakes Economic and Workforce Development Summit. Local, regional, and state business and community leaders will hear from nationally recognized economists on the current and future status of the global, national, state, and regional economies and what the future holds.
