Munoscong Golf Leagues

Mixed Doubles Golf League

The foursome of John Wilkie and Chelsey O'Connor and Rich Cottle and Joyce Alley carded 32 with 11 putts for first place during the Munoscong Mixed Doubles Golf League Thursday, August 6.

Roy Hamilton and Pam Babcock, playing as a four-person team, recorded 33 with 11 putts for second place, and the group of Horace and Phyllis Baxter and Arvid and Theora Hamilton won the special draw event with the highest score on number three, and seven with the lowest putts.

Special Events: Pam Babcock made the longest putt on number one, and was closest to the pin with her second shot on number four. Rich Cottle was closest to the pin with a third shot on number seven. Dorothy McDowell was closest to the pin with tee shot on number nine.

Ladies Day Golf League

Dorothy McDowell carded low gross with 46 and Bev Vandergeest low net with 39 for first place in the first flight during the Munoscong Ladies Day Golf League Wednesday, August 5.

Phyllis Baxter was low gross with 50 and Rosemary Pinnell low net with 37 in the second flight. Ione Barber had low gross with 55 and Gloria Christensen low net with 40 in the third flight. Marianne Douglas had low gross with 63 and Evalyn Jacobson low net with 34 in the fourth flight, and Bev Vandergeest and Phyllis Baxter shared low putts with 13.

Special Events: Rosemary Pinnell was closest to the pin with second host on number 13. Phyllis Baxter made the longest putt on number 14. Irene Kent had the highest score on number 15.

Men's Senior League

Murray Bryant carded 35 for low gross, recorded low putts with 13, and was closest to the pin with tee shot on number 11 during the Munoscong Senior's Golf League Thursday, August 6.

Ed DeWitt, Dave McFarlance, Stew Myers, Mike Poluk, and Ed Seabrook shared low net honors with a score of 30. Mike McKinney made the longest putt on number 14. Sonny Veit was closest to the pin with third shot on number 15, and Joe Poisson won the door prize.
