There will be exhibits, live music, pageants, vendors, contests, crafters, raffles, antiques, mud drag races, grandstand events, pet shows, and livestock exhibits. The fairgrounds are on County Road 408, three miles east of Newberry off M-28.

The Curt Knierim Memorial Golf Outing will be Saturday, August 29, at 10 a.m. at the Newberry Country Club. All proceeds support the youth sports programs of Newberry. For more information, call Jeff Cloutier at (248) 410-4589.
Children have been enjoying the “Be Creative at Your Library” summer reading program, which began July 8 at the Engadine Library. Each week features a local resource person sharing a form of creative expression. Here, Jeremiah and Jessica Clark show students how to be creative with music. Working with wood and sewing are other art forms presented recently at the library. (Photograph courtesy of Janice Wagner)
