School bells rang Tuesday, September 8, at many area schools, so be sure to give yourself extra time while traveling in the morning and be alert, as school children and buses are out and about.

There will be a "Night Golf” game Friday, September 11, at 7 p.m. at the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club just off US-2 in Naubinway. All proceeds will go to the Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum Building Fund. For more information, e-mail Charlie Vallier at vallierc@pngusa.net.

A Fall Festival will take place Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Naubinway pavilion, one block south of US- 2 in Naubinway. There will be arts, crafts, produce, food, and a silent auction.

A Top of the Lake Swap Meet will be Saturday, September 12, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., two blocks south of US-2 in Naubinway. All snowmobiles and ATVs are welcome. Admission is $5, which includes free admission to the Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum.

A dinner and silent auction Sunday, September 13, at 2 p.m. will benefit the Fallen Heroes War Memorial, in honor of Jeremy Depottey, at the Newberry Eagles Club Aeries 3701, east of M-28 in Newberry. This event is hosted by the District 9 Eagles Riders.

The General Federation of Women's Club will meet Tuesday, September 15, at 10 a.m. at the Parkview Manor Entertainment Center in Newberry. Irene Warren will be the hostess and Karen Dailey the co-hostess. Regrets should be called to either of them. Karen Dailey will present the program, "The Road Less Traveled." The Oktoberfest plans will be discussed and sign-up for the work hours completed. Members who are not able to attend this meeting are asked to call Karen for assignments.
