Miss Taistell, though, said she could not wait to walk through the school’s big red doors. “I'm totally hyped for school,” said the sixth grade student. “I have been waiting for this day, like all summer.” Seventy-five Island students from kindergarten through 12th grade began the year with a half day of classes, a community picnic, and an afternoon assembly.
