Volunteers are preparing to clean up the roadsides along Michigan highways from Saturday, September 12, through Sunday, September 20. Motorists are asked to use extra caution when volunteers are working.

About 2,700 volunteer groups participate in the statewide beautification program three times a year, according to Michigan Department of Transportation.
