Brimley Downs St. Ignace
During Non-League Volleyball
The Brimley Bays swept the St. Ignace Saints 25-18, 26-24, and 25-12 during non-conference varsity volleyball Tuesday, September 1.
"We pulled everything together and our offense and defense was clicking," said Bays Coach Rhonda Amble. "St. Ignace is a good team and they are going to get stronger as the year goes on. Everyone stepped up against the Saints, but the difference was our defense."

The Engadine Eagles swept the Newberry Indians 25-15, 25-16, and 25-16 during a non-league road match Tuesday, September 1, and downed Mackinaw City 25- 13, 25-14, and 25-8 in a home contest Thursday, September 3.

"Tia Browning got her first start and did a great job against Mackinaw City," said Eagles Coach Kathy Miller. "She works hard in practice and is improving rapidly after sitting out last year."
Bulldogs Split Tri-Match The Rudyard Bulldogs split their tri-match, defeating Cedarville 25-13, 25-20, but falling to Cheboygan 16- 25 and 11-25 Tuesday, September 1.
Bulldogs combined statistics: Leah Wallis, 10 kills, seven assists; Emily Jeffreys, 14 digs, eight kills; Hunter Perry, 10 assists, 100% serving against Cedarville, four aces; Liz Schroeder, seven digs; Caitlyn Mudroch, four kills, two block kills.

EUPC; Drop Tri-Match
to Chiefs, Bulldogs
The Cedarville Trojans fell to DeTour 23-25, 20-25, and 24-26 during an Eastern Upper Peninsula Conference contest Thursday, September 3, and dropped the trimatch to Cheboygan 21-25, 10-25 and Rudyard 13-25, 20-25 Tuesday, September 1.

The DeTour Raiders continue to be the surprise of the Eastern Upper Peninsula’s young volleyball season after sweeping the Mackinaw City Comets 25-11, 25- 17, and 25-10 Tuesday, September 1.
