Nine people walked five miles in the St. Ignace Crop Walk to raise money for hunger relief Sunday, September 13. The walk raised $1,001, with more money expected to be donated in the coming weeks, said organizer Donna Pope of St. Ignace. About 25% of the money will be donated to the St. Ignace Food Pantry, while the remainder will be donated to the Church World Service organization.

Donations will still be accepted and can be made by calling Barbara Brown at 643-8482.
