Brimley Bays Down Vikings 52-36 in 8-Man Shootout

The Brimley Bays defeated the Posen Vikings 52-36 in an eightman football shootout Friday, September 11.
The Bays led 20-14 at halftime as Kyle Root scored on a 61-yard kickoff return, Jory Amo answered from 32 yards out and added one two-point conversion, and Josh Graham scored on a five-yard quarterback run and tallied the two-point conversion.
In the second half, Josh Graham scored on touchdown runs of one and 20 yards and completed scoring passes to Ty Root from 20 yards out and a 14-yard touchdown pass to Dylan Graham before the Bays closed out their offense on a scoring pass from Dylan Schroeder to Josh Graham.
"It was a good win, as we played a lot of players," said Bays Coach Ron Lounds. "We are a young team and still have a lot to learn."
Bays offensive statistics: Josh Graham, 30 carries for 266 yards, six of six passing for 60 yards; Jory Amo, 17 carries for 125 yards; Kyle Root, eight receptions for 60 yards; Ty Root, three receptions for 36 yards, and Michael Kuenzer, one reception for 24 yards.
Bays defensive statistics: Ty Root, eight tackles; Dylan Schroeder, pass interception; Jared Parish, two sacks; Cody Bosbous, one sack; Donnie Lewis and Luc Piche played strong defense.
Brimley will travel to Cedarville to battle the Trojans Friday, September 18.
