Sarah Cullip Wins SAC Meet; Rudyard Boys Finish First

The Saints’ Sarah Cullip, a freshman, won the girls division of the Straits Area Conference cross country meet and the Rudyard Bulldogs boys team finished first Tuesday, September 8.
Cheboygan won the girls class with 59 points, followed by Sault Ste. Marie with 80, Rudyard 110, Rogers City 127, St. Ignace 134, Newberry 145, Pickford 181, and Cedarville 198.

The Saints cross country team competed at the Superior Central Invitational Saturday, September 12.
Sarah Cullip led the girls team with a second place finish in 21:17. Chelsea Swope finished 12th in 24:47, Kristen Olsen 17th in 26:41, Samantha Radecki 28th in 29:13, and Heather Beaudoin 29th in 30:15.
Ben Paul finished 8th in 19:53 to lead the boys, followed by Patrick Sweeney 9th in 20:02, Kasey Bunker 21st in 23:01, Kevin Guillard 22nd in 23:28, Eric Lenoir 25th in 24:27, Devan Harju 30th in 32:19, and Trenton Erskine 31st in 34:17.
The St. Ignace boys finished third overall and the girls fifth in the meet at Eben Junction.
