A free two-hour workshop for businesses interested in learning about more energy efficiency and green certification will be offered Sunday, October 4, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Brighton Pavilion at Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.

The workshop will be presented by Dr. David Steenstra of the College of Business at Ferris State University.

Topics to be discussed include an introduction to vocabulary terms, the benefits of promoting green initiatives, and information on the process to become certified.

The workshop is sponsored by the Mackinac Island Community Foundation.
