Orpha Keefer Orpha Keefer Orpha Louise Marks Keefer, 84, of Cedarville, died September 11, 2009, at her home.

She was born February 26, 1925, in Spencerville, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence and Dora (nee Cummins) Freeman.

She lived in Marion, Ohio, for much of her life, where she was active in her church and was a member of the VFW.

Since moving to Cedarville, Mrs. Keefer has been a volunteer with the chicken barbecue at the Les Cheneaux Sportsman's Club, where she provided flower arrangements for 12 years. She also attended First Union Church.

Mrs. Keefer enjoyed making crafts and flower arrangements. She loved the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and greatand great-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a son and his family, Robert and Helen Marks of Cedarville; three grandchildren, Shawn Louise Marks, Todd Marks, and Cory McBride; five greatgrandchildren and their families, Ashley and Tim Severns, Amber Davis, Tyler Pitko, Trent Pitko, and Cory Marks, and two greatgreat grandchildren, Landon Severns and Kaden Marks. Also surviving are one brother and his family, William and Evelyn Freeman of Marion, and one sister, Gloria Freeman of Marion.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Marks Sr.; her second husband, Byron Keefer; a daughter, Janice Marks McBride Guyer, and a sister, Jane Freeman Rogers.

Services were Friday, September 18, at Boyd-Born Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation began at 1 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. Burial was in Grand Prairie Cemetery at Brush Ridge.

Reamer Galer Funeral Home of Pickford assisted the family with arrangements.
