Michael Hagan Michael W. Hagan, a Command Sergeant Major in the United States Army, has recently been deployed to Afghanistan for a one to two year tour of combat duty as the senior non-commissioned officer in the 82nd Airborne Division.

A lifelong resident of DeTour Village, he is descended from the oldest pioneer families. He received his early education in DeTour and was most recently employed by the Corps of Engineers at the Soo Locks. He is married to Sharon Hagan and has two children, Chaney and Shaun. His parents, retired Army Major Bob and Mary Hagan, both served as educators in the tri-county area, helped in establishing the Caribou Lake Association, and are at home on Caribou Lake. All are members of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
