      Jim Brown, Sr. was more than an outstanding athlete at LaSalle High School (LHS). Mr. Brown was one of the biggest Saints fans. Behind the scenes, he worked hard to improve the quality of athletic programs at the school.

      The St. Ignace placed four girls in the top 10 and the Saints finished second behind the host Chiefs during the Cheboygan cross country invitational Tuesday, September 15. Sarah Cullip continued her early season strong effort with a first place finish, and Nicole Elmblad came in second.

Saints Volleyball Downs Panthers in Four Matches

      St. Ignace and Pickford went four matches before the host Saints defeated the Panthers 25- 23, 25-23, 17-25, and 25-23 in a non-conference contest Tuesday, September 15. "We played with a lot of confidence and finished strong," said Saints Coach Gracia Marshall. "This was our best night on the volleyball court."
