Under the Friday night lights, the Engadine Eagles played their homecoming game against North Central Friday, September 25. Although the outcome was not in the Eagles’ favor, it was a delightful end to Spirit Week, another tradition at Engadine High School.
The hunters have taken to the two tracks, either in search of bear or partridge. Bow season will open soon.
The annual vacation for the Livermore girls has taken them to New York for a tour of the city under the able direction of Martha Sheppard’s granddaughter, Angie Dietzel, who will wear a bride’s veil next weekend. Her aunts, Louella Snow, Fran Berry, and Evelyn Burgess, who will chauffeur the group, are looking forward to both events.
Here from La Barge, Wyoming, are my sister, Teri Sherbrook, sister in-law, Sharon Beaudoin, and niece, Angela, who are helping in the move for my mother, Nona Fraleigh, to her winter residence.
Ten young men representing Teen Challenge will present a program Sunday, October 4, at 6 p.m. at Rexton Mennonite Church. The church’s 20/20 youth group will provide the music, and dessert and coffee will be served following the service. Everyone is invited to attend.
We wish a speedy recovery to Robert “Porky” LaPine of Mackinac Island, who is getting his back in shape so the walk up the hill to Grand Hotel won’t be quite so painful.
Birthday wishes to Dave Hanson September 29, John Snow and Jeannie Paquin Donovan October 2, Laurie Wyse October 3, and Grayson Hood October 5.
It was nice to see Bill and Gwen Black of Indiana here for a weekend visit.
