Walk-in clinic hours at Mackinac Straits Hospital have been reduced, and the service will now be offered from noon to 8 p.m. seven days a week, the St. Ignace hospital announced Tuesday, September 8.

Previous hours were from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the clinic, opened in 2006.

The hospital attributed the move to increased access to same-day appointments in other health clinics at the facility.

The hospital’s emergency room is open 24 hours.
