Beverly Nicholson

Beverly A. Nicholson, 75, of Germfask, died Saturday afternoon, September 26, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was in the care of North Woods Hospice.

She was born September 9, 1934, in Lincoln Park to Charles and Frances (nee Maveal) Bondie.

Mrs. Nicholson had been a resident of Germfask for the past 18 years. She was employed as an adult foster care provider in Manistique for several years. She was formerly a choir member at St. Therese Catholic Church in Germfask. She enjoyed crocheting, bird feeding, flowers, playing bingo, and casino gaming. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.

Mrs. Nicholson is survived by her seven children and their families, Frances and Vern Livermore of Curtis, Arthur Jr. and Ronda Nicholson of Curtis, Perry and Sue Nicholson of Plymouth, Jerry and Sherri Nicholson of Muskegon, Dawn and Luke Nicholson of Muskegon, Eva and Dan Beals of McMillan, and Robert Nicholson of Germfask; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and three siblings and their families, Russell Bondie of Howell, Charles Bondie of Marion, Ohio, and Glady Hurd of Southgate.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nicholson was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Sr., and seven siblings.

There was a memorial service Tuesday, September 29, at 11 a.m. at the Germfask Mennonite Church with Pastor J.D. Livermore officiating.

Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry assisted the family with arrangements.
