Fall flung open the door and blew in with a vengeance, with cold rain, trees bending down in a graceful bow, and temperatures dipping to “fire up the wood stove mode,” all during the first week of October. One can only imagine what lies ahead.
The 2010 senior class will have a fish fry fundraiser Friday, October 16, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Veterans Hall in Engadine. Cost is by donation.
Cliff and Linda Bellant had as weekend guests their daughter, Barbara Wright, and Barb’s friend, Sharon Johnstone, both of Waterford.
Laura Bellant, daughter of Cliff and Linda Bellant, will marry Josh Brown Tuesday, October 20, in a ceremony at Battle Creek. Congratulations to the couple.
A reminder of the “Dig Pink” volleyball game scheduled between the Engadine Eagles and Newberry Indians Thursday, October 8, in the Engadine High School gymnasium beginning with the junior varsity game at 6 p.m. and the varsity game to follow.
It was nice to see Debbie Bulloch, who was home for the weekend from her work in Jackson.

Congratulations to Emily Outwater on the arrival of her daughter, Ava Beth, born Monday, September 28, at 10:14 p.m., weighing at 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and measuring 19.5 inches in length.
