Reconstruction of the Mackinac Ford Sales garage at St. Ignace is nearing completion, owner Paul Krause told The St. Ignace News Monday, September 28. The garage, which was destroyed by a fire August 7, 2008, is expected to be finished within a month. Drywall, siding, and electrical work in the back of the facility must be finished before it is ready.

Two buildings near the original garage were converted into service buildings to compensate for the loss, Mr. Krause said, and a mobile home was used for office space. The completed building will function as a service area as well as contain offices.
