Two LaSalle High School band members, junior Annemarie Horn and sophomore Andrea Perry, participated in Western Michigan University's Bronco Marching Band Day Saturday, September 26, in Kalamazoo, Susan Horn reports. Five hundred high school marching band students from schools across Michigan converged there and rehearsed with the 300 Bronco Marching Band members for approximately three hours, learning choreography and practicing music. Each student was paired up with a "Bronco Buddy" in their instrument section. Once in uniform and warmed up, the mass of 800 band members marched from Read Field House to Waldo Stadium. The high school students watched the Bronco Marching Band's pre-game show, then performed "Thriller" and a Michael Jackson Medley with the Bronco Marching Band during the halftime show, as well as at the post-game concert.
