Ken and Vanessa Hardy of Mackinac Island announce the birth of a son, Brady William Hardy, born Friday, September 11, 2009. He weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces at birth and measured 20.5 inches in length.

Grandparents are Nancy and Kenneth Hardy of St. Ignace and Candy and the late William Smith of Mackinac Island. Great-grandparents are the late Ty and Ling Horn and the late Ray and Barbara Smith. Leo Krzeminski is the baby's great-great-uncle.

The child was named after his late grandfather, William Smith, and his late great-great-grandfather, William Hardy.
