Troy and Diane Huskey
Diane Blair and Troy Huskey of St. Ignace were united in marriage Saturday, September 26, 2009, at the historic Gros Cap Church in Moran Township with St. Ignace Mayor Paul Grondin officiating. The church was decorated with black baccara roses in silver vases and taper candles.
Guests were greeted by the bride’s brothers, David and Daniel Blair. Dawn Akers of St. Ignace served as the organist.
The bride is the daughter of Miriam Blair and Edsel Blair of St. Ignace and was given in marriage by her father.
The bride wore a strapless gown accented with crystal beading and a sage green sash. She carried a bouquet of black baccara roses and ivy with silver wrap.
The bride’s sister, Dawn Wilcox of Cedarville, served as matron of honor. She wore a floor length sage green dress.
The groom’s brother, Gary Huskey of Pinckney, was the best man.
A reception was held at Little Bear East Arena, decorated in a wine theme decor with black baccara roses, ivy, and silver accents. The reception was catered by the bride’s brother-in-law, Dustin Wilcox, of U.P. in Smoke Barbecue and Catering.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of LaSalle High School and attended North Central Michigan College. She is employed as a graphic designer at The St. Ignace News.
The groom is the son of Rose and Wayne Huskey of St. Ignace. He is a 2000 graduate of LaSalle High School, and attended Lake Superior State University. He is employed as a detention officer for the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
The couple took a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nevada.
They reside in St. Ignace.
