St. Ignace was plagued with four turnovers and three Saints players suffered game-ending injuries in the first half, leading to a 28-14 Straits Football League (SFL) setback at the hands of the Newberry Indians Friday, October 9.

The injuries for St. Ignace came early as Nate Montie and Evan Everson suffered ankle injuries and Gerrit Mortensen sustained a right shoulder injury in the first 20 minutes.
