Engadine Consolidated Schools

HOME OF THE EAGLES•KNOWLEDGE LETS YOU SOAR
by Angie McArthur Superintendent

Bullying is a problem faced by many students. What used to be considered a part of growing up is now recognized as a significant issue for schools. At Engadine Consolidated Schools, we are committed to address incidents of bullying and educate students to minimize those incidents. In the elementary grades, students are watching a movie, “Show and Tell,” and then watching a discussion video about “The Early Faces of Violence.” The secondary students will be participating in a series of interactive videos and discussions to identify bullying and learn what to do if someone is being bullied.

If a student is complaining about being bullied, or talking about a classmate being bullied, please have the student talk to an adult at school. We need to know as soon as possible to effectively handle bullying. Our expectation and goal is to ensure a safe learning environment for every student. Please help us attain this goal.

Reminder: Parents can check their student’s progress using Parent Connect. It can be accessed from our Web site at http://engadine.eup.k12.mi.us/en gadine. Attendance, grades, and discipline are categories available for viewing. Those needing to set up a log-in or assistance may call Lesa Baker at (906) 477-6449. Also on the Web site are the district calendar, lunch and breakfast menus, and classroom information.
