St. Ignace
It’s the peak of the autumn season as colorful leaves gracefully fall to the ground, soon becoming crunchy to walk on for trick or treaters.
Bob and Linda Cheeseman of St. Ignace enjoyed the B.B. King concert in Sault Ste. Marie Wednesday evening, October 14.
I enjoyed visiting with Marion Fenlon, who seems to be content with family and friends. She tells me she is proud of her youngest grandchild, Aaron Welch, a fourth grade students at Gros Cap School, who made the honor roll, earning all A’s and one B-plus.
Snow showers were reported on Mackinac Island Saturday, October 10, as well as in other nearby areas. St. Ignace had hail the size of peas for a couple of minutes.
Mike Wilkins will celebrate his birthday October 27. He will catch up to his friend, Lawrence “Lumpy” Leveille. Guess their age?
Tom and Patti Krause will celebrate their wedding anniversary October 22. Wishing them both a good day.

Debbie and Gene Perry with their daughter, Andrea, drove to Marquette last weekend to visit their oldest daughter, Dana, a freshman at Northern Michigan University. She is adjusting very well and is happy to have relatives in that area she can count on, they said.
My cousin, Ken Smith, of Brevort will be 70 years old October 25. Joyce Gustafson and Dottie Glashaw turned the same age. Friends and neighbors will celebrate their birthdays Saturday, October 24.
Sheryl and Clifton Smith visited relatives and friends in the St. Ignace area. This is the couple’s hometown.

Stephaney and Brendan Lane of Bay City were visitors in St. Ignace, taking in many sites. They enjoyed the quiet atmosphere.

Tina Champion will celebrate her 40th birthday at a special birthday party Saturday, October 24, at a local restaurant. The party will be hosted by her mother, Yvonne Weaver, and friends. There will be music and food.
For several years Rick and Gloria Weber have been involved in donating their time for the annual Allenville Lutheran Church Harvest Dinner, which was Sunday, October 18. Young Olivia Luepnitz was a volunteer there, too.
Andrea Tamlyn announces there will be a Christmas gift sale at the Catholic Center in St. Ignace Friday, November 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you are interested in being a vendor, call Andrea at 643- 8177.
Don’t forget the Fall Fest downtown Saturday, October 24. The Great Pumpkin Roll will be at 4 p.m. on Goudreau Hill.
