No one was injured when a Waste Management Truck tipped over on Knowles Road in Brevort Township after swerving to avoid a group of deer Wednesday morning, October 14, said company route manager Mike Donajkowski. The driver applied the brakes and drove to the side of the road, where the truck lost balance and tilted to the side.
Middleton Towing of Engadine and Merle's Garage and Towing of Sault Ste. Marie hauled the truck up onto the road around 1:30 p.m.
Mackinac County Road Commission Manager Dirk Heckman told The St. Ignace News a few minor holes were created in the road during the accident. The commission will patch the holes and straighten the shoulder.
