Hello, everyone.

The American Legion Post 290 will sponsor a fish fry Friday, October 30, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Veterans Hall in Engadine. The dinner will benefit the preschool program at Engadine Consolidated Schools. Cost is by donation.

There will be a Christmas Bazaar and a craft and bake sale Sunday, November 1, from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Friendship Center at N8696 Highway M-117, just north of Engadine. Lunch will be available, including pie and coffee. This event is sponsored by the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Women's Missionary League.

Be sure to mark your calendars and spread the word about the donkey basketball game Friday, November 13, at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium at Engadine Consolidated Schools. The first game will be band students against hunters, and the second game will be firefighters against clergy. Cost of the game is $8 at the door or $6 in advance. There will be a fish fry before the game from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for children younger than age two. The Knights of Columbus will help with the meal. The event is sponsored by the Engadine Band Boosters. There will be donkey rides for children age 12 and younger during intermission of the game.

The Erickson Center for the Arts will have "Music in the Center" featuring Bob Marshall Sunday, November 1, at 7 p.m. at the Erickson Center in Curtis. Tickets for the Bob Marshall show are $5. The Erickson Center has also announced "An Evening with Jeff Daniels" Thursday, December 10, at 8 p.m. Ticket price for the Jeff Daniels show is $45. Tickets are available in Curtis at the Erickson Center, Curtis Service, and Chamberlin's Ole Forest Inn, Mary's Garden in Engadine, Anchor Inn in Naubinway, and the Old Bank Collection of Shops in Newberry.
