Brevort
This weekend, there is a celebration planned in Moran. The annual fireworks show in memory of Alfred “Pete” Peters and George Litzner will be Saturday, November 7, at 1820 West Dukes Road. Festivities start at 6 p.m., with fireworks at 7 p.m. There will be a 50- 50 drawing, with proceeds going to Zion Lutheran Church of Allenville. There also will be a silent auction from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with donations going to the Brevort Township Fire Department. Anyone willing to donate items for the auction may call 643-9747. A special salute will be given for Trish Litzner, who will celebrate her 80th birthday. This will be a day to remember Pete’s devotion to the fire department, and George’s faithful service at Zion Lutheran Church. While talking about the upcoming gathering, Dave Movalson remembers George teaching him all he knew about well drilling. George was always ready with a remedy for a problematic well.
