Electric Bills Will Go Down Slightly

A typical residential electricity customer will see a $6.03 reduction in their electric bills in November and December, according to Edison Sault Electric Company.

The company announced Monday, October 26, that it will implement a reduction in its Power Supply Cost Recovery for the last two months of 2009. A typical residential customer will see an approximate 7% reduction.

Bills are being adjusted because the company has to pay less than it predicted for power, outside of that generated at its own hydroelectric plant, resulting primarily from lower than projected natural gas costs.
