Ann Braham Ann H. Braham, 73, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Cedarville, died Thursday, October 15, 2009, at her home in Pittsburgh.

She was born in Pittsburgh, May 26, 1936. She was the daughter of J. Barr Haines IV and Isobel Sheppard Haines.

Mrs. Braham was only truly at home when in Les Cheneaux, friends said, whether crossing the bay in her Chris Craft Manatee or simply sitting by her fire watching the chickadees in the cedars outside the window. Since her grandfather, Thomas Sheppard, first came to Cedarville at the turn of the century, five generations of her family have also made Les Cheneaux their home.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, W. Walter Braham, Jr.; two children, Robert Braham and Nancy Braham Buchanan; two stepchildren, William Walter Braham III and Susan Wright Braham; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Lily, Hugh, Julia, Caroline, Ellie, and Katie; one brother, James Haines V.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bruce McKinnon Haines.

Services were Tuesday, October 20, at the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Chris Taylor officiating. Interment was in Edgewood Cedar Cemetery in Cedarville, with committal prayers by the Reverend Jeffrey Myers.

Weddell-Ajak Funeral Home in Pittsburgh assisted the family with arrangements.
