Deer hunters have an opportunity to help the needy by donating venison. The Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger group is accepting donations of venison at select processors throughout Michigan. Love Farms and Processing at 12361 West Turner Road in Rudyard is accepting donations of entire deer on behalf of the organization in the Eastern Upper Peninsula. When donated, the deer tag license must be attached. Co-owner Tina Love said donations are sent to food banks in St. Ignace and Sault Ste. Marie.
