It’s the second day of deer season and it seems there may not be any deer taken in the Brevort area. The weather is clear, and mild for November. Brian Rose said he has observed only two deer on trucks passing through Brevort on US-2.

Anne Anderson had lunch with Billy Milford in St. Ignace this past week. Anne and Billy were high school classmates a time ago. Anne visited with Thora Shepard Friday, November 13.

Ann Dyer’s brother, Norm Buschert, of Mt. Morris visited with Ann and Jim this past weekend. They enjoyed breakfast at a restaurant before Norm headed home Monday morning, November 16.

Dottie Glashaw, Pega Kennedy, Joyce Gustafson, and Jerri Rose attended the Hunters Dinner at Immaculate Conception Church in Moran Sunday, November 15. Joyce won the Christmas quilt at a silent auction. The talented quilter was Kathy Stetson.

Pega Kennedy, Dottie Glashaw, Beatrice Zak, and Helen Graichen crossed the Mackinac Bridge to take in a fair at the Mackinaw City Catholic church. There were many displays of products and arts and crafts available to the shopping public.

Dennie and June White took advantage of the nice weather and walked the beach from Wildwood to Brevort Saturday, November 14. Bob Berry was walking his new dog, Isabel, through the village Saturday.

Jack Shepard, Lee Foster, Mike Shepard, Tucker Shepard, and Jim Smith are at the Shepard hunting camp near Hessel. Barb Merchant and Thora Shepard will be in Sault Ste. Marie shopping.

I talked with Jackie Rippett Monday morning, November 16. She and Dennie are fine and send greetings. We are reminded of the upcoming New Years party she and Denny will host. Keep the date open.

Shari Baron enjoyed a week home with Ray. She left Monday morning, November 16, for Livonia to care for her mother.
